美國3月氣候回暖，但消費者信心卻未跟著回升反跌至4個月新低，歸咎原因指向消費者對於美國經濟展望悲觀。

路透社/密西根大學14日公布，3月消費者信心指數初值自前月終值81.6意外下滑至79.9，低於經濟學家預估的82。

調查顯示，象徵未來6個月景氣看法的消費者期望指數，自前月的72.7下滑至69.4，亦創下2013年11月以來新低。

當月現況分項指數反而較為平穩，自前月的95.4微幅上升至96.1點。消費者現況分項指數通常與股市、就業市場具有高度關聯性，也反映出美國眾對自身財務狀況與是否進行大額採購的看法。

一年期通膨率預估持平於3.2%，依舊是2013年9月以來新高；5年期通膨率預期亦持平於2.9%。
