【綜合報導】根據沙烏地阿拉伯衛生部今天(25日)公布的最新消息，首都利雅德有一名51歲、罹患癌症與慢性疾病的男子，日前死於俗稱「新SARS」的「中東呼吸綜合症候群」(Middle East Respiratory Syndrome，MERS)。當地因此死亡的個案已經累計有40人。
目前沙國西南部阿西爾省又有2名男子確診中東呼吸綜合症候群。
