9局下，代打上陣的Andre Ethier擊出追平砲，將比賽拖進延長賽，12局下，道奇靠著Yasiel Puig和Adrian Gonzalez連續2支二壘安打，以5比4擊敗大都會，系列賽橫掃對手。
洛杉磯道奇名人堂主播Vin Scully形容：「魔術城堡裡，又一個不可思議的時刻。」
大都會和道奇3連戰的最後一場比賽，大都會2局上先靠著Andrew Brown的二壘打先馳得點，取得1比0領先，3局上，Marlon Byrd揮出3分打點全壘打，將優勢擴大到4比0。
6局下，道奇展開反擊，單局打了7個人次，靠著3支安打、1保送，將比數追到2比4。
